Ohio Senior Farmers' Market Program
Fresh Fruit and Produce
The Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) is a United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) funded program.
SFMNP provides $50.00 in coupons that eligible older Ohioans can use to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from participating farmers. These coupons can be redeemed for fresh, unprepared, locally sourced fruits, vegetables, herbs and honey from farmers’ markets.
Many locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables, and honey are eligible for coupon use. Coupons do not entitle the holder to a special discount in price for the items they choose to purchase.
Select produce equal to the amount of your coupons. If you buy less than the amount of your coupon, farmers cannot give you change back. If you buy more than your coupon, farmers may accept cash or SNAP to cover the amount over the coupon value. Use your coupons by the expiration date.
Flowers, Plants, Eggs, Cider, Nuts, Syrup, Cheese, Crafts, Dried fruits, Bakery, Preserves, Processed foods and Non-local produce (pineapples, bananas, citrus)
