The Ohio Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program helps older Columbiana & Mahoning County residents enjoy locally grown fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, and honey. Any person 60 and older meeting income eligibility guidelines is eligible.
The Guidelines are as follows:
$21, 257 or less as a single person
$28, 694 or less for a household of two
$36, 131 or less as a household of three
$43, 568 or less for a household of four
$51, 005 or less for a household of five
$58, 442 or less as a household of six or more
Each person eligible will receive ten (10) $5.00 coupons that can be redeemed for produce at a participating Farmers’ Market.
- this program is first come first served and the number of participants will depend on total funding for each county.
- Participants can use coupons over the course of the growing season or all at once if he/she chooses.
- Home bound participants may have a proxy go to the farm markets and purchase produce with their coupons for them.
